Reproductive Rights Rally
Wednesday, August 3, about 25 to 30 people gathered at Diamond Park for a Reproductive Rights Rally. I was asked to host as the people organizing it wanted to remain anonymous. Speaking up for bodily autonomy is a scary thing nowadays.

Seen here is my telling my personal story.
One of the more difficult things about running for office as an everyday working person is that sometimes I can't leave work for important events. I was late to the rally, so I didn't get to share my message with as many people as I'd liked. However, several other speakers explained the power of a vote and what is at stake in this election.
One theme that I keep encountering is that our next governor may save us from extreme anti-choice legislation. Let me be clear: I am 100% on board with Josh Shapiro and it is essential that he win this election, but when it comes to Senate Bill 106, which would remove the Pennsylvania Constitutional right to abortion as an amendment, that's veto-proof, and his pen would hold no power over it.
This is why it is so important to spread the message about your pro-choice State Legislative candidates. Volunteer for their campaigns. Often you can volunteer for just an hour and help immensely! Talk to everyone you know and make sure they have a plan to vote this November. There is so much on the line and these candidates can't do it themselves. I can't do it myself.
